The tech: Across two generating units the site has five gas turbines with five heat recovery steam generators and two steam turbines.

Did you know:

South Humber Bank can generate electricity on base load or peak load.  The two-unit, 5 GT design enables the station to run across a very broad load range, meaning it can provide significant flexibility to National Grid, playing an important role in energy supply for the UK.

The main cooling water pumps circulate the equivalent of 37 Olympic size swimming pools worth of cooling water through our steam turbine condensers per hour. The water is then safely returned to the Humber Estuary.

South Humber Bank manages its own bee hives. Honey is collected from the hives and sold with the profits going to local charities.

EPUKI has a number of development opportunities at the Stallingborough site including a waste-to-energy renewable proposition.
